MICROS to cooperate with GIATA

(lifepr) Neuss, 05.03.2013 - In time for this year's ITB MICROS, a leading provider of technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce its cooperation with GIATA, the leading content provider for the tourism industry. A cooperation that is to revolutionize business processes in holiday leasure resorts.

Both partners intend to optimize sales by capturing contract contents of all relevant sales partners within the hospitality and tourism industry. Thus hotels will provide net-rate sales and offer all sales platforms involved with optimal content (product information, availability, prices).

"The value of our solutions not only lies in the optimal guest administration and the management of operative processes in hotels and the respective headquarters, but especially in our sales support. We focus on digitally processed, multi-lingual information in combination with available content, dynamic packaging and demand-oriented supply of products", explains Dr. Peter Agel, Senior Vice President at MICROS.

Remzi Aru, managing director at GIATA adds: "From now on every tour operator and every broker by using a GIATA code may directly identify hotels working with MICROS solutions and may safely communicate with them electronically. The currently existing Babylonian chaos of codes and matching will be ceased. Furthermore we will thus be able to provide all our clients with hotel content in unprecedented depth."

MICROS and GIATA have worked out a HUB concept to offer the respective content in real time. The solution does not aim at end consumers but supports sales platforms, tour operators and travel agents.

Hotels are welcome to join this service and in return receive a state-of-the-art platform for leasure travel and distribution. Sales partners are offered exclusive and free sale content.
