Hallo Leute, ich habe eine kurze Frage. Entschuldige aber ich muss auf Englisch schreiben, weil ich selbst besser so erklären kann.
In the chorus to a song by the band Unheilig, there are the following lyrics:
Siehst du mich, wenn meine Zeit anbricht,
dann wird der Himmel blühen und tausend Engel ziehn
Siehst du mich, auch wenn dein Herz zerbricht
dann wird die Welt erblühen und tausend Engel ziehn
In my dictionary, both "blühen" and "erblühen" mean "to bloom" or "to blossom". I assume there is some meaningful reason these different verbs are used, since the two lines they appear in are otherwise exactly the same.
Also, the line "siehst du mich, auch wenn dein Herz zerbricht"
I have translated this as "Do you see me, even when your heart heart breaks?" However, this doesn't make sense when followed by the line "dann wird die Welt erbluhen..."
Basically, how would you native speakers translate the chorus of this song? Danke sehr im Voraus!
