" I am happy to inform you that this morning the schools for all girls in Andkhoi and surrounding districts have been reopened and Girls started coming back to school . Today their attendance is not so good maybe 50 to 60 % are present but hopefully from tomorrow it would get better .
I am sure that now we can also re start with our EC courses for both boys and Girls ?! Our colleagues in Andkhoi are waiting for your permission .
It is really a big move and people showed that they are not ready to go back to 20 years ago . It all happened because of the pressure people of the area put on the local officials . For the last three days there were continuous talk about it in the office of District administrator. I am sure VUSAF and its employees and supporters as always played an important role in the reopening of schools .
It is to mention here that this decision is only for Andkhoi and the other three districts where we are active . About the rest of the country the situation is just as before."
