denn die Server sind ja im mom traumhaft, wenn ich da damals an mein dauerndes Generve bei dir denke weil es wieder Timeouts gab...
3.2 Wir gewährleisten eine Erreichbarkeit unserer Server von
99 % im Jahresmittel. Hiervon ausgenommen sind Zeiten, in denen der Server aufgrund von technischen oder sonstigen Problemen, die nicht im Einflussbereich von uns liegen (höhere Gewalt, Verschulden Dritter, etc.), nicht zu erreichen ist. Ist die Sicherheit des Netzbetriebes oder die Aufrechterhaltung der Netzintegrität gefährdet, können wir den Zugang zu den Leistungen je nach Erfordernis vorübergehend beschränken.
3. Leistungen
Die Leistungen der fast IT GmbH werden von dieser nach bestem Wissen und Gewissen gegenüber den Kunden erbracht. fast IT gewährleistet eine Netzwerkverfügbarkeit der angebotenen Dienste von 99 Prozent im Jahresmittel. Hiervon ausgenommen sind Zeiten der Nicht-Verfügbarkeit im Rahmen von Wartungsarbeiten.
Nicht unbedingt bei 2 verschiedenen Providern, eher bei 2 verschiedenen Rechenzentren.
Wenn man sich ausrechnet wieviel so ein Provider an Server an eine 55 Gbit Anbidung hängt, dann sollte ja klar sein, dass auf Dauer keiner der Provider sein Wort halten kann. So darf Hetzner vorübergehend die Leistung reduzieren. Starto sogar Server aus dem Betrieb nehmen. Mit dem Switch funktiniert ja das ganze tadelos in der Regel bei jedem nur wenn wirklich mal alle Server belastet werden, dann sind alle Zentren down. So ist das einfach 55 Gbit reicht für 550 Server das sind ein paar Ranks mit 100 MBit.

Jeder hat mehr Server als seine Anbindung erlaubt.
Nur zur Sicherheit: Das war nicht ernstgemeint, oder?2. unverschämtheit, Rootserver mit ner minimal installation. Das hat man davon wenn man an der falschen stelle spart. Ein ordnetlicher Hoster hätte gleich alle verfügbaren Pakete installiert damit der Kunde ja alles hat was er braucht.

Ja natürlich sendmail ist auch unnötig. Wozu sollte ein Server E-Mails versenden.Und speziell zu Punkt 2... ich hasse Server auf den 1000 Dienste laufen die kein mensch braucht, ausser vielleicht ein exploid. Eine installation die nur eine solide Grundlage bildet ist mir tausend mal leiber als alles andere. Etwas zu installieren ist einfacher als etwas zu deinstallieren.
Das wären für mich bereits Mängel, die ich dem Lieferanten mitteilen und ihn abstellen lassen würde.Es ist aber noch nicht alles. Der Apache läuft auf LAMP vorinstllierung im default mod. Die .htaccess Services sind Standartmässig abgeschaltet, sowie PHP Unterstützung
Wem das noch nicht genug ist, von fachlichen überzeugt zu sein. Apache läuft dort bei der Installtion als Root!
Das wären für mich bereits Mängel, die ich dem Lieferanten mitteilen und ihn abstellen lassen würde.

Es ist durchaus üblich das Apache als Root gestartet wird, aber das ist nur der Eltern Prozess der das ganze managed, die Kind Prozesse die die Arbeit übernehmen laufen mit normalen Privilegien.
Und der Lieferant würde sich denken "oh die nächste potenziele Drone". Wenn nix eingestellt ist dann würden die Kinder als nobody laufen, ansonsten als der eingestellte User. Und ich bezweifle ganz ganz stark dass der User/Gruppe auf root gestellt war (das geht glaube ich auch gar nicht)... Vorallendingen wenn ich solche Aussagen wie "Die .htaccess Services sind Standartmässig abgeschaltet" lese, dann geh ich davon aus dass das eine sichere Konfiguration war/ist. AllowOverride steht standardmässig auf all, hier aber auf none (oder zumindestens != all). Ich denk mal das ist das ganze normale Apachepackte von Suse...
